Uber Technologies —down 4.4% premarket: The ride-hailing app maker lost its license to operate in London over safety issues, casting doubt on its future in one of its biggest markets.
Charles Schwab—down 1.6% premarket: Charles Schwab on Monday said it agreed to buy smaller rival TD Ameritrade Holding in a stock-swap transaction valued at about $26 billion.
Tiffany—up 5.6% premarket: LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton said Monday it had reached a takeover agreement with Tiffany that values the U.S. company at $135 a share.
Walt Disney —up 0.5% premarket: The entertainment company’s “Frozen 2” heated up a slumping domestic box office this weekend, opening with a record-setting $127 million in the U.S. and Canada, according to preliminary studio estimates.
Novartis —down 0.3% premarket: The pharmaceutical company agreed to buy cholesterol-drugmaker Medicines Co. for nearly $10 billion, in a pricey bid to expand its reach in the lucrative market for heart treatments.
Companies reporting earnings later Monday include Agilent Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Palo Alto Networks.
