The ref. 6300G was the second iteration of the Grandmaster Chime, launched in 2016. The original is the ref. 5175, which was introduced as part of Patek Philippe's 175th anniversary celebration. That piece was produced in only six examples, and all in ornately engraved yellow-gold cases. These watches are the most complicated wristwatches Patek Philippe has ever made. The 6300G swapped the engraved yellow-gold case for a sleeker white-gold version and the two dials became black and white, the former with some hobnail guilloché at the center. At launch, the 6300G was priced at $2.2 million, making it a pretty effective way to flex on all your other celebrity friends at a birthday party.
