Xiaomi is on a launch spree for wearables since the last few months. The Mi Watch, despite aping the Apple Watch, is a very affordable way to own a feature-packed and premium built smartwatch. Xiaomi is now looking to expand the series and the second model in this lineup is the Mi Watch Color. Xiaomi has been talking about the Mi Watch Color since the last few weeks and it has finally gone on sale in China. Contrary to the speculations, it is a more affordable variant of the Mi Watch and will please the fashion conscious.
The Mi Watch Color differs from the regular Mi Watch in terms of the design and rest of the features are mostly similar to the more expensive model. The watch gets a new circular dial with some thick yet stylized bezels and two crowns. Additionally, Xiaomi has created a host of coloured straps for the Mi Watch Color, which means customers can go overboard with customisation while purchasing the smartwatch.
While an India launch is still doubtful, you can always get the Watch Color from China and if you are planning to do that, you should know a couple of things about it.

Mi Watch Color features
-The Mi Watch Color is meant for fashion enthusiasts and Xiaomi has created a host of colourful bands to let customers create their own design. The watch itself comes in black, gold and silver colour variants. Hence, with all the colours combined, Xiaomi says that one can create up to 1,540 colour combinations on the device.
-Xiaomi has gone with a circular display on the Watch Color. There's a thick bezel around the display but Xiaomi has made it a part of the design by marking minutes on it. There are two crowns on the watch but both of them act as a menu button and home button.
-The Mi Watch Color has a 420mAh battery and Xiaomi says that it can stay alive for 14 days on a single charge. That's impressive for a watch that runs on Google's Wear OS. Users need to charge it via a proprietary charging adapter that uses magnetic pins to keep the watch in place.
-Similar to the Mi Watch, the Mi Watch Color uses Xiaomi's MIUI for Watch OS. This is based on Google's Wear OS and it comes with a host of custom apps developed by Xiaomi as well as the support to run all the Wear OS apps. The watch will be compatible with all Android phones running on Android 4.4 and above.
-Xiaomi says the Mi Watch Color is water-resistant up to 5ATM and it can also withstand up to -10 degrees Celsius.
Mi Watch Color price and India availability
The Mi Watch Color has been launched in China at a price of 799 Yuan, which is approximately Rs 8,100. As of now, Xiaomi is only selling its Mi Watch series in China but Xiaomi has plans to bring the Mi Watch to the global markets as well. An India launch hasn't been hinted at but Xiaomi could bring it later in the year once it manages to bring down the price further.
